Judith Lieber: Born in 1921

I enjoyed seeing this Judith Leiber exhibition. The exhibition includes a selection of handbags that exemplify a great range in use of craft techniques, materials and design approaches. The exhibition also demonstrates much of her inspiration. Leiber, now retired, had an undeniable artistic gift and created handbags that were everything from conceptual, crafted, embellished, inspired by the past, and in the case of the work she is most famous for: functional jewellery sculptures.
