DRESSING UP TIME IN THAILAND

Something I enjoyed whilst visiting the Ayutthaya temples is a bit of contemporary, fun, fashion culture where the Thai like to visit landmarks such as the Ayuttaya Temples dressed up in traditional Thai dress and take photos of themselves at the sites all dressed up! This pop-culture explained why right on the edge of one of the ancient sites was a series of boutiques selling traditional Thai dress including all the colourful fabrics (used to be draped into various skirts, tops and shawls) and the associated accessories: belts, necklaces and so on. It was clearly something people had a lot of fun with.
