I went trekking in the Blue Mountains just outside Sydney, and the experience certainly lived up to the expectation. This part of the Australian landscape was unlike any other landscape I’d experienced before. It was incredibly vast and monumental, appearing infinite and majestic all at once. The mountains were lush and green but also charaterised by jagged rocks and tall, rocky waterfalls. I saw many species of parrots and learned that Australia is amongst the countries that has the greatest number of parrot species.
